Intro Workshop: Discover Clay on the Pottery Wheel (single session)

Prerequisites: None, ideal for beginners

In this course, you will receive a calm, thorough introduction to working on the pottery wheel.
In a small group, I will guide you step by step through your first attempts with clay.

What you will learn

1. Centering the clay
2. Opening and pulling up a form
3. Throwing simple vessels (e.g. bowls or cylinders)
4. Basic understanding of form and wall thickness

Throwing is challenging – it's not about perfection, but about developing a feel for the material and movement.

After the course

In this beginner's course, trimming or glazing is not done by yourself.

I will take care of the following for you:

• Trimming
• Drying
• Glazing (glaze of your choice)
• Two firings

Results & Collection

You can create several pieces and decide for yourself at the end which ones you want to have further processed. Two pieces will be fired and glazed.
Your finished ceramics will be ready for collection in approx. 4–6 weeks.

All pieces are food-safe and dishwasher-safe.
